Prepositions of place

Label:

Hi FBers, as promised we have a quick run down on prepositions of place. The graphic is a good rule of thumb, a good guide. But there are some common expressions that don't appear to fit the guide.

"At" usually is followed by 'the' or a possessive, eg. I am at the library. I am at John's house. Common exceptions: at home / at work / at reception

"On" is usually for surfaces but we say on the bus / on the train / on the plane.

Any questions, please ask.
