In this meeting I came late, because I just back to my homestay or Pulkam  alias Pulang Kampung to the village.

In this chance I prepare a song to sing, where I ever singing the song when attending the 10^th Anniversary some years ago. We sing for KGI at the time. What great memory, if I remember the time.

Ghost Plays (Outdoor Activity) - 9th meeting

 

Today, the member feels boring, they ask to get outdoor. I said, “Okay” up to you. I allow them to play everything. Then they play “Hantu-hantuan” or “Ghost Plays”. All the members join the game.

Below the illustration court of the game.

There is house and it contains the member 

Before the game starting there were discussing between the ghost and the house owner:

Ghost   : knock… knock… knock (the ghost knocking the door, then the owner house open  _the door).

Owner : Looking for whom??

Ghost   : I’m looking for someone (the ghost choose one of the member at the house to catch, then if the member or target catches they must be a ghost then turn to  catching the member.

Owner : what’s up??

Ghost   : there is a party…

Owner : where??

Ghost   : in the graveyard…

Owner : what’s the food??

Ghost   : one of you will be the food for me…

Owner : the drinks??

Ghost   : your blood…

Owner : who are you??

Ghost   : I’m Zom..

Owner : Zom??!!

Ghost   : I’m Zombie … Haaaaaaaaaaa.. ( The Zombie will catching the target, the Zombie should running passing the line of court to catch the target).

Reading KGI Bulletin - 7th meeting

The meeting for today is reading KGI Bulletin, I ask them to read one of interesting article on the bulletin. Then I ask them to give an opinion about the bulletin, they are said that the bulletin is interesting. Many words that so difficult and strange, they said to me. What can be done, they must open their dictionary.. they say to me, why Joeys just for SMP students?? I can’t answer the question, I just answer “if you want to join the Joeys from KGI you must be active join at this club until you are graduated from here!!” and always keep in touch don’t forget to check www.kangguru-joeys.org you will find some interesting info and meet the joeys from SMP all over Indonesia. Sing a song – Home Sweet Home - 6th meeting

In this meeting I have a song for kids the title is “Home Sweet Home”, the member are so happy sing the song. Because the lyric of the song so easy to sing.

I still try how to make my students be better in English, and how they will be always active at the club meeting in every weeks, I really need some souvenir from KGI for them, because I think it will make the member of the club more spirit and love KGI. For the current meeting in every week I try to enrich their vocabulary.

Telling about favorite Animal - 5th meeting

In this meeting I played a video about favorite animal or pet.

 

Then I ask them to telling about their pet at home.

And on the video there are some grammars, that how the member should know the different of each words.

Then the member performs their creative dance. It about the song with title “She’ll be coming round the mountains” at 3rd meeting.

In this meeting the topic is Reading Poetry with the title is “A Friend”. Firstly I read the poem then I ask the member to make a group. And each group should be choosing one of their friend to perform it to the front of class.

Telling story about holiday & introduce KGI Bulletin - 2nd meeting

This is a second meeting or our club “Cute Baby Joeys English Club”, where we have 2 weeks holiday after getting a week examination school. In this meeting I ask the member to tell about their experience during the holiday. Because most of them are still poor in English vocabulary, so I ask them to write it in combine language, in Bahasa combine with English. One of them want to write in English fully, but after I corrected it the result are disorganized. I just choose 2 short story of them. This is some of their wonderful stories.Then I introduce some KGI bulletin to the member, they enjoy the picts on the bulletin.

Dear KGI,

My name Maulidatun Nabila my friends usually call me “Bella”, I’m 10 years old, I’m 4 grade at MI Salafiyah Tugung, Sempu. One of Islamic Elementary school in Banyuwangi. In this second meeting of the club, Mr. Jarkoni ask me to tell my short story about holiday school ago. 

Here my short story….

When the holiday of semester ago I went to a water park and play ground that called “Atlanta” together with my family. At the place I enjoyed many entertainments such as ridding duck boat, roller coaster, swimming, and etc. Then at the place I entered a ghost house and a house, where around the wall are mirror, it make me confuse. At last I found the road, and getting out from the room. After that my family asked me to eat “Rujak Buah” or Fruit Rujak that the taste so hot and sweet. At last it’s time to back home. I feel so happy in this holiday, hope I will get the wonderful holiday in the next chance.

Visit Uncle House in Jakarta

Dear Joeys,

            My name Urbachul Karomah, but my friends usually call me “Ulul”. I live in Banyuwangi. I am member of Cute Baby Joeys English Club (CBJEC) at MI NU SALAFIYAH TUGUNG. I really enjoy the club. And I want to be exist at the club until graduated from the elementary school.  Because Mr. Jarkoni ever tell to us will be organize new club, the truly Joeys not baby again.

At this meeting the topic is about holiday school. And I have good experience to tell.

            On Sunday morning, I prepare my self and picked up some goods that I need. My family invited me to getting holiday visiting uncle house in Jakarta. We are go there by train, what a long tour the day up to I slept at the train. My father gets me up from the sleep. At last we are arrived at the uncle house. After getting some rest, then my family asks me to hang out look around the views of Jakarta city at the night. We are going to the Monas, so crowded around the Monas at the time. Then we are going to the other interesting place there. And buy some souvenirs. Then we are back to the uncle house. Because just 4 days my holiday at uncle house. So I try to find new friend there. At last its time to back to my beloved house in Banyuwangi with brought a great experience.

 In this 3^rd meeting, the topic is singing an English song. For the club member I have look for an easy song to sing.
